I was in deep meditation yesterday, when I unexpectedly found myself face to face with my twin soul. I’d not been thinking of him. But here he was, in this place where we often used to meet in the ethers, this lovely island with beautiful white sand that stretches for miles. A pier surrounded by the bluest, calmest water you ever want to see and a simple hut which provides only the simplest of comforts. As we stood on the pier on this gloriously beautiful day, he held my hand and confessed the words to me that were so moving and deeply felt. So profound were they that I remembered most of them hours and hours later. I’ve condensed it down because this confession went on for 15 minutes. Each statement began the same:
If there was only one person in the world I could…
…Hold hands with, it would be you.
…Kiss, it would be you.
…Laugh with, it would be you.
…Eat my favorite meal with, it would be you.
…Watch a great move with, it would be you.
…Show my favorite places to, it would be you.
…Stare up at the stars with, it would be you.
…Run through the snow with, it would be you.
…Sail the blue sea with, it would be you.
…Sink into the sand with, it would be you.
…Swim with the dolphins with, it would be you.
…Listen to the sounds of horses grazing with, it would be you.
…Be trapped in a jail cell with, it would be you.
…Share a bed and my body with, it would be you.
…Love for all eternity, it would be you.
If there was only one person in the world besides me.
I would want it to be you.
